Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name, a date, or a case number typed into a search box on this site travels straight to the outside company that runs that search. The company processes the query and sends back its results under its own privacy policy. We do not keep a log of the terms you entered, and we cannot see what the provider does with them.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you send an email, we hold on to the message so we can write back to you. The message stays with us. It is not sold, rented, or handed to another organization unless a valid legal order requires disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
Each time a page loads, our servers note a few routine technical details about the visit:
- The IP address that your device used
- The browser you are running and its version number
- Your device type and operating system
- Which pages you opened and how long each one stayed on screen
- The site or search engine that referred you, when there is one
- A timestamp for every page view
Cookies and Analytics
This site uses cookies, which are small files a site stores on your device. They let us see which pages readers use most and where people leave. Analytics services pull that traffic data into aggregate reports for us. You can turn cookies off in your browser settings at any time. A few parts of the site may behave differently once you do.
What We Do With This Data
The limited information this site gathers is used for a short list of purposes:
- Keep the site online and loading quickly
- Pass your search request to the partner service that handles it
- Learn which pages answer reader questions and which ones need work
- Find and repair technical problems
- Display advertising that may relate to your interests
No Warrant Data on File
This site does not host, assemble, or sell a database of warrants or personal warrant records. The pages here explain where Winn Parish warrant records are held and how to ask for one: the Winn Parish Clerk of Court for Eighth Judicial District Court files and minutes, the Winn Parish Sheriff's Office for agency and service records, Winnfield City Court for its own city docket, the mayor's courts of Atlanta, Calvin, Dodson, and Sikes for their ordinance and traffic matters, and the seven justice of the peace wards for lower-court records. Louisiana has no single public statewide warrant search. Nothing gathered about visitors is built into a consumer report, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
The search boxes on this site are operated by outside companies, not by us. Anything you enter into one of those tools is handled under that partner's policy rather than this one. Those partners decide how long they keep a query and who else sees it, and we have no control over either choice. Read the partner's privacy policy before you submit a search.
Links to Other Websites
Pages here link to official sources, including the Louisiana Legislature, the Eighth Judicial District Court, and the state corrections location page for Winn Parish facilities. Following one of those links takes you off this site, and the destination's own privacy policy then applies to your visit. Read it before you share personal details.
Some advertising partners track activity across sites so they can show targeted ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not on ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Some data can still reach the following parties:
- Search partners that process the queries you run here
- Analytics providers that measure traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place advertising on these pages
- Law enforcement or government offices when a valid legal order compels disclosure
How We Protect Your Data
We follow standard security practices to protect the limited data this site collects. No system connected to the internet is perfect, and we cannot promise that a breach will never happen. We take reasonable steps to prevent one and to limit what could be exposed if one occurs.
Users Under 18
This site is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent information to this site, contact us and we will remove it.
Your Data Rights
Louisiana's Public Records Law, La. R.S. 44:1 et seq., controls how records held by public bodies in this state are inspected and copied, and juvenile court records are generally confidential under Children's Code art. 412. That framework governs the courts, clerks, and sheriff's offices named on this site, not this privately operated website. For information you send to us, you can ask us to:
- Show you a copy of what we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Erase your information
- Stop a particular use of your information
Updates to This Policy
This policy can change as the site changes. When it does, the revised version appears on this page with a new effective date. Check back if you want to follow how visitor information is handled.
