Not a Consumer Reporting Agency. This website is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). The information here, and on any third-party tool linked from this site, may not be used to make decisions about credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or any other purpose covered by the FCRA. Background checks for those purposes must go through an FCRA-compliant screening provider.
Privately Operated Reference Site
This site is privately operated. It is not the Winn Parish Sheriff's Office, the Winn Parish Clerk of Court, the Eighth Judicial District Court, Winnfield City Court, any mayor's court, or any justice of the peace court, and it is not endorsed by or connected to any of them. We do not issue warrants, serve warrants, or keep an official warrant system. The pages simply point to the offices that do: the courts that issue the orders, the clerk who keeps the district files, and the sheriff's office that serves process across the parish.
Accuracy of Information
Courts and sheriff's offices change phone numbers, hours, addresses, fees, and procedures with little notice, and warrant systems update through the day. We work to keep these pages current, but we cannot promise that every detail is correct at any given moment. Before you visit a counter, mail a request, or send a payment, call the office directly to confirm what it needs and when it is open.
Warrant Status Changes - Verify Before You Rely
A warrant is a living record. Warrants are issued, recalled, quashed, served, and sometimes sealed, and a status can change from one day to the next. A search that comes back clear is not proof that no warrant exists. A warrant may not be entered yet, may sit with a different court, or may never appear in a public view. A listing you saw last week may not match what the docket says today. Before you act on a warrant's status, or on its absence, confirm it with the issuing court or the sheriff's office.
Treat every result you find as a starting point, not the final word. Only the issuing court can confirm whether a warrant is active and whether it has been recalled, served, or sealed.
Verify With the Official Source
Nothing on this site is an official record. When a decision depends on a warrant's status, whether one exists, what it charges, what bail it carries, or whether it has been cleared, get the answer from the office that holds the record. In Louisiana that means the court named on the citation: the Eighth Judicial District Court or the parish Clerk of Court for district matters, Winnfield City Court for its own docket, a mayor's court for one of the smaller towns, or the justice of the peace ward listed on the notice. The state publishes no single public warrant search, so the issuing court is the authority.
Not Legal Advice
Nothing on this site is legal advice. The pages point to resources and explain how warrants generally work in Winn Parish, but a website cannot take the place of a licensed Louisiana attorney, especially when an outstanding warrant, a surrender, a bond, or the effect of a charge on one person's case is involved.
Third-Party Search Tools
Some pages carry search boxes operated by outside companies. We do not control what those tools return, what they charge, or how they handle the information you submit. Their results can be incomplete, out of date, or matched to the wrong person, and the FCRA restrictions described above apply to them as well.
Outbound Links
Pages here link to official sources such as Louisiana's public records law, the Eighth Judicial District Court, and the state corrections location page. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of any site we link to.
No Records on This Site
This site hosts no warrants, warrant lists, case files, or court records. Juvenile records are generally confidential under Children's Code art. 412, and sealed or investigative material may be withheld from the public no matter where you ask. To confirm a warrant, you have to check with the issuing court or the sheriff's office. A custody roster shows who is in a jail at the moment it updates, and it is not a warrant search.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you tell me if there is a warrant for me?
No. We do not host or maintain any warrant system. The official answer comes from the court that issued the order or the sheriff's office. You can start with a warrant lookup using the court named on your citation.
Does a clear result mean I have no warrant?
No. A clear result is not proof that no warrant exists. Warrants get added, recalled, served, or sealed, and some never appear in a public view. Confirm your status with the issuing court.
Who can clear or recall a warrant?
Only the court that issued the warrant can recall or clear it. Talk to an attorney and the issuing court about how that works in your case.
